Glen’s priorities come from decades of work inside Lincoln County government — and from years spent listening to neighbors, first responders, and small-business owners across the county.

1 Transparency in Government

An open, accessible county government that answers to the people it serves. Glen will work to make budgets, votes, and decisions easier for residents to find and understand — because public business should be done in public.

2 Stronger Public Safety

From volunteer firefighter to jail sergeant to chairman of the Fire and Emergency Management Agency Committee, public safety has shaped Glen’s entire career of service. He will continue to back our deputies, first responders, and volunteer firefighters with the resources they need.

3 Better Communication

Improving the county’s online presence so residents can stay informed and engaged. Clear updates, accessible meeting information, and a county website that actually works for the people who pay for it.

4 Fiscal Stewardship

Eight years overseeing multi-million-dollar county budgets has taught Glen one thing above all else: every taxpayer dollar matters. He will continue to push for spending that delivers real value for Lincoln County families.

5 A Strong Voice in Nashville

As Vice President for Middle Tennessee on the TCCA Executive Board, Glen already represents Lincoln County at the state level. He will keep building those relationships to bring more opportunities, grants, and resources home.

6 Protecting Local Control

Through his work on the TCCA Governmental Affairs Committee, Glen helps review state legislation that affects Tennessee counties — with a particular focus on stopping unfunded mandates that push costs onto local taxpayers.

“Avoiding unfunded mandates remains key to protecting our taxpayers while ensuring that local services remain responsive and efficient. As your representative, I will continue working closely with TCCA and our legislative partners to ensure that Lincoln County remains well-positioned to benefit from state programs.” — Glen T. Douglas, November 2025 update to the Lincoln County Commission

Building for What’s Next

Glen sees both the opportunities and the challenges ahead. Tennessee is growing fast — from major economic-development corridors to new infrastructure demands — and Lincoln County must plan strategically for what’s coming. That means smart growth, stronger roads and utilities, and continued investment in the people and services that make this place feel like home.

Glen’s commitment is simple: lead with experience, listen to neighbors, and never forget who he works for.
